Baba on the Teapot

As you know, coziness in any house is created by dear little things, especially those made by themselves. We offer to create a kitchen accessory, traditional for the Slavs - a woman on the teapot. This hot water bottle is covered with a brewer to keep the tea hot longer.

Baba on the teapot with own hands - materials

To create a simple hot-water bottle in the form of a woman, or rather a doll, we need:

Doll on the teapot - master class

At the beginning of the work, prepare the upper part of the heating pad:

  1. At the doll cut off the body at the waist and a little higher. For her, then from a white cotton fabric should sew a shirt, for example, on the below pattern.
  2. Sleeves can be longer. The lower edges of the shirt must be pushed inside the trunk of the doll and sewed together.
  3. Further in the MK warmers on the kettle you need to do the tailoring of the top skirt and povyubnik. The latter is sewn from white fabric. Its cut from a rectangle, the long side of which is equal to the volume of your teapot, and the narrow one - to its double height. Add a few more centimeters to the seams.
  4. Rectangle fold in half, inside we put a warming material (cut off blanket, sintepona), we spend the upper part in one thread. This thread is then pulled together, we get a magnificent povyubnik.
  5. We sew the upper skirt of colored fabric. Its width should be much larger than the width of the pod, and the length should be more by 2.5-3 cm. Bend the lower edge of the article by 0.5 cm and spread it out. The upper edge of the workpiece is folded by 1-1.5 cm, we spread it out, thus creating a cusp.
  6. To the underside of the skirt, attach the paddle and sew them together just below the cusp. Then connect the side edges of each skirt separately. Turn the workpiece to the front side, insert the rubber band into the kuliska.
  7. To the skirt we sew two straps, we thus get a sundress. It remains only to sew a kerchief for the hot-water bottle on the kettle.
