- sponge;
- fine-grained sandpaper.
We'll tell you in stages how to make a suitcase decoupage.
Preparation of a suitcase
- Clean the corners, fix the handle.
- Surfaces of a clean and dry suitcase are degreased with alcohol (acetone) and leave to dry.
- Punching up the pent-up places PVA. For serious damage, "put a seal" from a white layer of napkin, moistened with PVA glue.
- We rub the edges of the suitcase with a candle.
- With a roller and a brush, we paint the suitcase with beige paint several times, drying it well between the layers.
- To get abrasions, we remove the paint on the faces.
Decoration of a suitcase
- We select and cut out drawings for decoration. We separate the first ink layer from the napkins.
- For external and internal decoration of the suitcase we build a composition of pictures, starting with large fragments, and then gradually fill with smaller fragments.
- Cuttings from newspapers and printouts are put on greased places and rolled with a roller.
- We lay the napkin on the file downside down with a picture, we pour a little water on top of it, spread it with a brush, drain the excess water from the file, apply the file with a napkin down to the place of gluing, we smooth the file over the file with a brush to get rid of the air bubbles, take the file, hold the napkin by the corner, and from above gently apply a brush glue. We are waiting for complete drying.
- Using a sponge, we shade the bronze eye shadow in the gaps and over the pasted pictures.
- We cover the suitcase with several layers of matt acrylic lacquer. Suitcase is ready!
Such a suitcase in a musical retro style, updated in the technique of decoupage, will last a very long time. You can also decorate other old things: a casket , a clock or a table .
