Cockerel thread - the symbol of the year with their own hands

There is very little time left until the New Year, we still have so much time to do, and here is another symbol of the year in my house and did not settle. Therefore, I decided to make a cockerel from improvised means, it is done very quickly, literally in half an hour, but it looks very nice.

So, with the help of this master class, we learn how to make a hand-made cake from our own hands.

Cockerel from the thread with your own hands - master class

For work it is necessary:

Progress:

  1. From the cardboard we make a cone and paste one sidewall so that the cone does not fall apart.
  2. On the top of the cone, we apply glue and begin to wind the cone around a circle of yellow yarn. It is desirable to apply the glue on not large areas of the cone, so that it is convenient to hold the product and not stain the hands with glue.
  3. For a scallop from a red tape we make three loops, so that each subsequent loop is smaller than the previous one, we cut off the extra tape. The edges of the tapes are glued together or pierced and glued to the top of the cone.
  4. For the beak from the red tape, make a small cone, we cut off the excess tape, glue the side of the cone.
  5. We make earrings. Cut a small piece of red tape so that the top of the tape was smaller than the bottom. In the middle we apply glue, and we twist the edges with a tube to the middle and press it. Cut the edges as in the photo.
  6. We glue the beak with the seam down to the earrings and then the entire structure (beak with earrings) is glued to the trunk.
  7. Glue the eyes.
  8. For the tail take four ribbons of different colors about 15 cm, fold them in half in the form of a loop and the ends of each other are glued together. Tuck the hinges with their eyelets up to the body.
  9. For wings we take two cuts of 10 cm of red tape, two cuts of 8 cm of beige tape and two pieces of green tape of 6 cm. We take one cut of each color, add them in the form of a loop and glue the edges of the loops among themselves from the green tape to the red . The second winglet is done similarly, only the eyelets should be symmetrical to the first winglet. Wings are glued to the body.
  10. For the paws, take the red ribbon and cut off two cuts of centimeters twenty and two cuts of 5 cm. Small pieces are folded in half and glued together (or stitched). Long pieces of one edge are folded in length at a distance of 2.5 cm and are glued (pierced) in place of the fold. Fold short segments at an angle of thirty degrees and glue to the edge of a long ribbon, at a height of 2.5 cm of the treated edge. The legs are glued to the body.

It remains only to find the most honorable place in the house for the cockerel. Since the top of the tree I did not have any toys, I placed it on the very top of the Christmas tree.
