Emma Watson, Bree Larson, Idris Elba will choose the winners of the "Oscar"

After the scandal that erupted around the last Oscar ceremony, the organizers of the most prestigious award in the world of cinema promised to take into account criticism and correct the situation. So, in the list of members of the American Film Academy, deciding who will get the coveted golden statuette, for the sake of diversity, there were 682 names (this year there were half of them).

Unprecedented debate

The hype surrounding the Oscar-2016 began with accusations of racial discrimination. Jada Pinkett-Smith, her husband Will Smith, Viola Davis, accused the organizers of the award in racism, because for several years the film academy has given the main nominations only to light-skinned actors and directors.

Next, women's rights advocates were pulled up, because there are not many women among the candidates.
