How to draw a squirrel - a master class for children

  1. The shape of a protein consists of five elements. This is the head and trunk, which has a slightly elongated oval shape, two paws and a tail. From this, you should start by depicting them on paper in the form of light pencil strokes.
  2. Then add the ears, sharpen the muzzle in the nose area, detail the paws. A feature of the child's drawing should be its simplicity. Do not complicate the process, do not bring too many small details. If you help in drawing to a child 3-4 years old, then at this stage it is possible to stop, drawing an animal eye and coloring a picture.
  3. For older children, the image of a squirrel can be made more realistic by adding a right foot that looks out from behind the left, tassels on the ears, and so on. Give the texture of squirrel wool, because it should look fluffy. Coloring the drawing with colored pencils or markers, give it in short, abrupt strokes.

How easy is it to draw a squirrel with a pencil?

You can depict a squirrel in a different way. The picture below shows the initial elements of the picture. It is very important to correctly convey the proportions.

  1. We define the center of the muzzle of the beast by two cross lines, we add to the figure the paws. Note that the tail is one of the largest elements.
  2. Detail the muzzle, depicting the eyes (they should be located on one conditional horizontal line), nose and ears.
  3. The eyes can already be colored, making them black and shiny (do not forget about the glare). Erase all the extra pencil lines and draw the antennae, eyebrows and cilia of the animal.
  4. Now we'll take care of the paws. Each of them contains four sharp claws, but our protein in the figure is shown in such a way that only three are visible on the right paw. The wool here lies densely and evenly - draw it with the help of accurate vertical shading.
  5. Work in the same way the entire silhouette of the squirrel, including the hind foot. Pay special attention to how the wool sticks out at the hip fold and in the tail area.
  6. At the conclusion of the work, try to make the squirrel more fluffy, adding hatching to the bends of its tail.

How to draw a squirrel on a tree step by step?

  1. Using a solid simple pencil, create a contour pattern. First, we'll paint the head.
  2. Further we conduct a line of a back, a femur and a front paw.
  3. Draw the belly, detail the paws with claws, and since the protein refers to rodents, give it a paw to the paws.
  4. The tail in its size can be compared with the body of the squirrel. Draw a small curl on its end. Pay attention to the fact that the second upper paw is shown, which is barely visible behind the first.
  5. Here's how this drawing looks on paper, made with a softer pencil with the marking B.
  6. With large and small shading, paint the wool on the animal's body.
  7. Also, draw the boundaries of the chiaroscuro. Between the back and the tail there will be a darker part, and if our drawing were in color, it would be a dense reddish. We start drawing a branch of a tree on which the squirrel sits.
  8. Give it a characteristic texture, and the animal itself brighten in several places with the eraser. Thanks to this contrast, your drawing will look much more realistic. And one more thing - shade the pencil lines in the area of the paws, belly and here and there on the face, without touching the eye, and apply more delicate and clear lines of wool over the feathers.
