Levi Ski Resort, Finland

Lapland, or Finland - is a mountainous snow country. These are ideal conditions for the creation of ski resorts. That is why there are so many of them on its territory.

The largest and most modern in Finland from the ski resorts is Levi, located near the mountain of the same name, just 160 km from the Arctic Circle.

How to get to Levi in ​​Finland?

The easiest way to get to Levi from the city of Kittilä (17 km). There is an airport that can take charter planes from other countries and domestic flights (from Helsinki or Rovaniemi). By rail, you can only reach Kolari, and then another 80 km will have to take a taxi or a regular bus.

The season lasts longer than half a year (from October to the end of April). Due to the variety of trails and developed infrastructure, it is always full of tourists.

In total, the resort has 45 different tracks. On the front slope of the mountain are quite complex (red) wide slopes, designed for experienced skiers. For families and only beginners, descents on the southern and south-eastern slopes are more suitable. For lovers of extreme sports, the slope of Levi Black (or Black slope G2) is suitable. The north-eastern slope is designed for carving and skating.

A lot of people come here, therefore Levi has more hotels than other recreation centers in Finland. Very popular are such hotels as Levitunturi, Katka, Sirkantahti, Sokos Levi and Levistar. All of them are located very close to the ski lifts and provide comfortable rooms.
