Litical mixture - adult dosage

Elevated body temperature accompanies many diseases. At the same time, some people tolerate it quite normal, without experiencing any special discomfort. Others very painfully react to fever (with the appearance of severe headaches, muscle aches, cramps, delusions, etc.). In such cases, it is advisable to take antipyretics .

But not always habitual medicines from a high temperature (paracetamol, ibuprofen, etc.) bring due effect. Then, as a means of emergency care, you can use a special multi-component agent - a lytic mixture that simultaneously has an antipyretic and analgesic effect, and acts quite quickly (the effect is noted after 15-25 minutes).

How to make a lytic mix for an adult?

The lytic mixture is a potent mixture of three active components that are well matched together and relatively safe for the human body. So, the ingredients of the lytic mixture are:

  1. Metamizol sodium (Analgin) - a substance from the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, which has a powerful antipyretic and pronounced analgesic effect.
  2. Papaverina hydrochloride (No-shpa) - a drug of spasmolytic and hypotensive action, belonging to the group of opium alkaloids, which due to the expansion of blood vessels increases the heat transfer of the organism.
  3. Diphenhydramine ( Dimedrol ) is an antihistamine drug of the first generation, which also has a local anesthetic and sedative effect. This substance enhances the action of Analgin.

For adult patients, the dosages of no-shp, analgin, and diphenhydramine for a lytic mixture per application are as follows:

This dosage of the medicine is calculated for an adult person weighing 60 kg. For every additional 10 kg of weight, one-tenth of the above dosage should be taken. All components are mixed in one syringe, before opening the ampoules they should be rubbed with alcohol.

The lytic mixture is injected intramuscularly (usually into the outer upper square of the buttock), while the temperature of the solution must correspond to body temperature. The injection should be done in accordance with the rules of asepsis, deep into the muscle, the medicine should be administered slowly. After the injection, the next administration of the drug solution is allowed no earlier than 6 hours later.

Dosage of the lytic mixture to adults in tablets

If the use of a lytic mixture in ampoules is not possible, tablets can be used in an adult dosage:

Preparations are taken orally with a sufficient amount of water. It should be taken into account that such a method of conducting a lytic mixture does not give such a rapid result as after injection (not earlier than in 30-60 minutes).

Contraindications to the use of a lytic mixture

There are cases when the use of a lytic mixture is prohibited:

  1. With abdominal pain of unclear etiology accompanied by elevated body temperature, before a doctor's examination. This can be dangerous, for example, with appendicitis. After taking the lytic mixture, the pain subsides, and the symptoms of the disease become hidden.
  2. If before that, for at least 4 hours, at least one of the components of the lytic mixture (either orally or injectively) was used to relieve fever or pain.
  3. With individual intolerance of the components of the drug mixture.
