The red quartz rock, from which the mountain consists, at sunset makes it a fiery red, for which Brandberg is called "flaming". This feature attracts those who love unusual natural attractions . Those who are more interested in archeology and paleontology will be pleased to learn that the numerous large and small caves, located here and carefully guarded by Bushmen, have a huge number of ancient rock carvings. They depict hunting scenes, animals that used to live here, and ancient desert people. The most famous drawing "White Lady" is very unusual for this area.
  2. A large ledge. This mountain system is named after that, cutting the country from north to south, it separates the lowland from the hill with a height difference of 600 m. The ledge in the territory of Namibia is formed by the mountains Naukluft, Tiras, Khomas, Rotrand, Hartmann, Jubert, Beina .
  3. Grootberg. This mountain, which forms a plateau in the form of the letter U in the canyon of the river Klip River, has a small height - only 1640 m. It was formed under the influence of the eruption of an ancient volcano. 80 km from the mountain there is a settlement Kamanjab (Kamanyab) with a population of more than 6 thousand people, its own airport and hotels .
