Provence Chairs

The word "Provence" sounds in our language mysteriously and unusually, but in translation it means "province". These lands, located in the south of France, are located near the Italian border. Most of the year they are flooded with sun, but the proximity of the sea and mountains brings a pleasant freshness. They are rich in vineyards, flowering valleys, and are a haven for tourists. In winter there is no snow, and evergreens turn Provence into an eternal garden. This already means that the furniture in this style can not look pompous and majestic. Here reigns homeliness, simple, lack of pretentiousness and simplicity. Therefore, the chairs for the kitchen in the style of Provence are completely different from those that are created in the style of Empire or Baroque .

How do the Provence-style chairs look?

Material for furniture is taken only natural, no cheap plastic is allowed. Most often there are wooden Provence chairs, decorated with carvings and figured backs. The legs almost always have a curved, intricate shape. Often, forged furniture is allowed for decoration of furniture, which also looks very nice. In the French rustic style, linen covers are used, the upholstery is usually not very bright and with mostly tranquil plant patterns. Also, the Provence is peculiar when the furniture has an aged look, so even a white Provence style chair can have a slight abrasion on the wooden elements.

The bar stool in the Provence style meets the same criteria. It should also be elegant and most comfortable to use. There is no need for excesses or shiny fashion novelties. There are, of course, ultra-modern chrome furniture, which is called Provence, but visually it is more suitable for high-tech or modern. True French country style prefers quiet colors and even a simple but elegant design.
