Drops Normax is a preparation for local treatment of the ears or eyes. It is used in both areas of medicine - ENT-practice and ophthalmology due to the soft composition, which allows the use of drops in the mucosa. But, in spite of this, Normax is an effective antimicrobial agent that fights against infection (gram-positive and gram-negative anaerobic bacteria).
Composition of drops for the ear of Normax
The main active ingredient of Normax is the antibiotic norfloxacin. This antibiotic refers to a modern group of antibacterial agents, and does not have a strong toxic effect on the body as opposed to antibiotics of the old series.
In 1 ml of the solution contains 3 mg of norfloxacin, as well as auxiliary substances:
- sodium chloride;
- disodium edetate;
- acetic glacial acid;
- benzalkonium chloride;
- water for injections.
Drops of Normax are a clear, colorless liquid, or with a yellowish tinge.

Indications for use of ear drops Normax
Drops of Normax are used in the treatment of the following ear ailments:
- otitis externa;
- chronic or acute otitis media ;
- infectious eustachitis;
- internal otitis media.
Normox drops can be used in preventive measures after surgery on the ear, as well as with ear trauma or when removing a foreign body from the auditory canal, if the tissues are damaged.
Contraindications to the use of ear drops Normax
Before using ear drops Normax, make sure that none of the following conditions characterize your:
- pregnancy (all trimesters);
- lactation;
- children and adolescents under 18;
- an allergic reaction to substances of fluoroquinolones or to the auxiliary constituents of the drug.
Method of using ear drops Normax
