Ready to wear

Each self-respecting fashionista can always distinguish clothes from haute couture, an exclusive collection and a wardrobe of mass production. However, not everyone knows how professionals in the world of fashion designate this or that line. Surely, every girl heard the expression ready to wear. Perhaps someone did not betray this fashionable term, and someone, on the contrary, often uses it in his vocabulary. But still let's see what it is - ready to wear?

Woman ready wear

Clothes line ready to wear - the main for most brands and fashion houses. Literally in translation this term means "ready to be worn". Most often it is used to describe women's clothing collections. In the fashion world, the expression ready to wear means large-scale clothing. That is, this includes a wardrobe from famous designers, which is manufactured in standard sizes for sale in large batches. For the first time the concept of ready to wear was used in the description of collections in the mid-fifties of the last century. By the way, then there were also such terms as pret-a-porte and Haute couture. Given the variety of materials, styles and design fantasies, ready to wear clothes are divided into two categories:

  1. Ready to wear deluxe . This line includes models from fairly expensive fabrics. Such clothes are often presented on the catwalks and are not always used in everyday wear.
  2. Ready to wear second class . This series offers a more casual wardrobe. Models of the second class are cheaper and are sewn on designer sketches in factories. If luxury clothing corresponds to the most advanced fashion trends, then the wardrobe of the second class is represented by actual fashion trends.

Today, ready to wear collections are more popular than exclusive series. This is due to the availability and wider use of such clothing.
