Hats of the Biedermeier era: what are they?
There were many ways how to decorate a hat. At that time, the cap was framed with lace along the front edge and ribbons, so that this element of the wardrobe would stay on its head. Fantasy is easy to "sweep" on a hat with wide margins: used feathers, flowers, various fabrics and beads. To the evening dress a festive turban came up, on which there was a minimum of finishing. For the evening, the girls were made high hairstyles, which did not require any additional decorations.
Another version of the feminine headdress of the Biedermeier era - a hood, is a combination of a cap and hat. This headdress was not very practical, because it was not so easy to hear and see around you. So over time, woolen dresses appeared, on top of which a shawl or a cape was tossed.
