Retroflexia of the uterus

Retroflexion of the uterus (bend) is an incorrect position of the uterus, or rather, the presence of pathological bending and tilt of the uterus. With retroflection, the following situation is observed: the slope and bending of the uterus are directed posteriorly towards the spine, the angle is opened back. Whereas the norm is normally the opposite - the angle formed by the cervix and the body of the uterus is facing anteriorly, and the body of the uterus is tilted forward.

Causes:

Bending of the uterus - symptoms

Symptoms of this pathology depend directly on the cause that caused the bend. Moving reflexion is absolutely asymptomatic and has no special diagnostic value.

The symptoms of fixed bending are more diverse. First of all, these are complaints caused by the underlying disease, which led to pathology (pain in the lower abdomen, discharge from the genitals, etc.). And also a violation of urination and because of constant pressure on the rectum, constipation occurs.

Often over time retroflexia leads to a rather terrible consequence - the omission of the genital organs due to the disrupted functioning of the ligamentous apparatus.

Pregnancy and bending of the uterus

Moving retroflection and pregnancy are quite well coexisting concepts. In addition, during pregnancy, the uterus grows and gradually from the bend turns into the correct position. Therefore, during labor there are no features compared with the initially normal position of the uterus.

In the case of immobility of the uterus, it is better to have sexual intercourse in the posture of a woman on the abdomen or a knee-elbow posture. This position opens the best way to access the cervix. And also the passage of semen through the fixed uterus and the fallopian tubes is improved. But even if pregnancy occurs, there is a risk of complications and miscarriages .

Treatment of retroflection

With good mobility, treatment of the bending of the uterus is not required. In other cases, adequate treatment is needed to combat the cause of the bend, and, depending on the pathology, the following groups of drugs are used:
