Sunglasses

Be sure to pay attention to the lens material of sunglasses. Usually made of:

  1. Glass. The drawback of this material is its fragility and severity. Therefore, they are not safe for the eyes. Advantages: high transparency and excellent optical properties, less scratching.
  2. Plastics. These are acrylic, polycarbonate and polyurethane lenses. Glasses with such lenses are light, durable, trauma-safe, almost do not pass the ultraviolet and infrared rays. However, scuffs and scratches appear faster on them.

How to choose women's sunglasses?

It is recommended to choose glasses that filter about 99-100% of UV rays with a wavelength of up to 400 nm (they should be labeled UV 400). But much more often there are sunglasses with a protection index of UV 380, which retard 95% of ultraviolet radiation. In this case, dark-colored lenses do not necessarily filter ultraviolet more efficiently than light ones.

Sometimes it is the other way around - pupils from dark lenses expand more strongly, and more ultraviolet light penetrates into the eyes.

Visible light (the one perceived by the human eye) is passed by solar lenses to the extent of 80-100% (colorless and slightly colored) to 3-8% (intensely darkened).

Depending on these indicators, select points under the weather conditions, under which you will wear them.

The choice of colors for sunglasses depends on your personal preferences and fashion. However, consider that the gray and black colors of the lenses do not distort color perception, and brown, green, orange distort.

Some shapes and types of sunglasses

There are many types of glasses, depending on the form and purpose.

For each person - the individual form of glasses is selected. To characterize the shape of your face, gather the hair from behind and look at yourself in the mirror or take a picture. So you can approximately estimate its outline: round, oval, square, triangular.

  1. Sunglasses aviators, or droplets , - a model with large drop-shaped lenses in a thin frame of metal. Originally they were invented for pilots, this explains the name. Now such glasses are considered the basic classical model, which is produced in various variations by almost all manufacturers. The advantage of aviators is that they will approach any woman under any clothes.
  2. Round sunglasses (retro-style) will ideally look on the face of the square form, tk. they will visually soften the sharp lines of the chin and cheekbones. Also in such glasses, especially large, girls with an oval face shape will look beautiful. This form of the rim is found in various variations: in a thick and thin frame, with dark or transparent lenses. Try experimenting with glasses in a round frame, especially since sunglasses of this form are again fashionable.
  3. In sunglasses without a rim, the arms are attached directly to the lenses. Owners of narrow forehead are advised to choose glasses, the upper part of which has no frame. Women with a wide forehead have the ability to visually hide it with glasses without a lower frame.
  4. For sports, select special sports sunglasses . They should be comfortable, strong, light, provide the necessary shade, and protect the eyes from the effects of wind, dust, water. Thus sports glasses are obliged to provide a lateral review. In some sports, a good fixation of the points on the head is needed, so they can be performed with a rubber strap instead of the handles.
