What is the ceiling of the ceiling?
In the standard set for arrangement of such a design there are only a few basic components:
- aluminum , mirror, plastic or steel slats;
- intermediate profiles;
- knitting needles (hangers), which are used to fasten the combs;
- Steel or aluminum stringers (combs), which are the basis of the suspended ceiling;
- Angles supporting the edge of the rails.
Types of lath ceilings
- Rack-type suspended ceiling in closed type. In this case, there is no groove between the slats, and they form a solid monolithic surface. Outwardly it resembles a usual wooden lining and people try to somehow improve the design. The hosts have the opportunity to use slats of different widths (from 75 mm to 150 mm) and colors, which allows creating different combinations.
- Rack-type suspended ceiling of an open type. This form differs from the previous one in that there is a gap of 15-16 mm between the slats. It can be left unfilled or covered with special decorative inserts. The first option is used in high rooms, where the ceiling height is up to five meters. Then the gaps are almost invisible and they do not spoil the appearance. But more often people still prefer to buy a slit profile, which can be the same color as the main slats, and the contrast color. Installation of a suspended suspended ceiling of an open type is not more complicated than in the first case, but it looks even more interesting, therefore this type of construction in apartments or public premises occurs a little more often.
