In our time, the suspended ceiling is the most popular option for finishing. There are several types of suspended ceilings, depending on the modules from which they are mounted. It can be rack , cassette, tiled, panel ceilings. Let's look at how to make a hanging plastic ceiling.
Installation of suspended ceiling panel
As practice shows, it's quite easy to make a suspended panel ceiling. This work can be done by anyone, even a beginner master.
For work we will need such tools:
- perforator or drill;
- hacksaw for metal;
- self-tapping screws and dowels;
- metallic profile;
- plastic panels;
- starting plate;
- hangers;
- sharp knife.
- Mark the frame. For this it is necessary to draw lines along the whole perimeter of the walls at the level where the new suspended ceiling will be located. On the length of the walls cut off the guide profile and drill holes in it through 50 cm. Attach the profile to the wall, drill the fixing points and fix it with dowels.
- The supporting profile is cut along the length of the room and we insert it into the guide so that the load-bearing profiles are located at a distance of 35-40 cm: this will remove the sagging of the ceiling.
- If the length of the room is large, the profile should be attached to the ceiling by a metal hanger.
- On the perimeter we fix the starting bar to the guide profile with the help of screws. As a rule, before making a false ceiling, it is necessary to mount the wires for illumination.
- Cut the plastic panel to the size and insert it into the starting bar, screw it with a screw.
- All the following panels are mounted back to back. In the place where the lamp should be, it is necessary to make a hole in the plastic panels of the required size.
- Now we install the luminaire and put all the other panels in place.
- The last panel should be cut lengthwise and inserted into the starting bar. Suspended ceiling is ready.
