The interior arch

In modern interiors designers use the architectural form, which emerged in the conditions of the ancient Eastern civilization and remains popular in our time. And it is called the arch of the interior. The arch is used in private houses, cottages, apartments, office and commercial premises. In small rooms, installing an interior arch in place of the door saves the space of the room and visually expands it. In spacious rooms, the arch serves for a functional division of the room into zones. For example, in the living-dining room, the arch delimits the zone of rest and eating. Using the interior arch

The popularity of the interior arch in the interior design is determined by several factors. First, there is a huge range of materials, shapes and types of arches that fit into any style of decoration. Secondly, due to the development of the construction industry, the arch can be made from the most accessible materials (for example, from foam plastic or plastic). Third, the arch allows you to increase the space without destroying the walls in the living room.

Types of interior arches

Arches are made from a variety of materials: solid wood, MDF, chipboard, plastics, gypsum board, stone, foam. The most expensive and durable are wooden interior arches. Such arches will serve you more than one decade, they do not emit harmful substances, they have a beautiful view. If necessary, they can be covered with varnish or paint to give freshness. In addition, wooden interior arches are always relevant and unique in their texture (oak, ash, alder, pine, maple).

The most common option are interior arches from MDF. They are more affordable, unlike arches from solid wood, and are more practical in use (do not change their shape under the influence of moisture). Arches from MDF can be painted, covered with veneer or laminated film. Thus, the color assortment allows you to choose a shade under the most finicky interior. The most popular shades of interior arches: gloss white, wenge, Italian walnut, cherry, beech, light oak, mahogany, maple.

Plastic interior arches are characterized by an affordable price and are able to embody the most original design ideas in your home.

Variants of forms of interior arches

All existing arches differ in their shape and style application in the interior. The simplest form is a rectangular interroom arch. It is also called a portal. The main advantage of a rectangular arch consists in the least financial and labor costs: especially if you acquire a standard pattern that corresponds to the parameters of the archway. In addition, the portal is suitable for rooms with low ceilings and fits into most interiors.

The interior arch in the style of the classic has a high semicircular arch, which significantly absorbs space. Therefore, designers recommend installing such an arch in rooms with high ceilings and give preference to wood materials.

The interior arch in the Art Nouveau style is similar to the classic form, but its arch is more gently sloping. In this case, the transition from the arch to the straight part of the arch is clearly marked. Use this arch is optimal in two cases: when the width of the opening is small and in the opposite case - a very large opening.

There is another interesting variant of the interior arch - decorative. The decorative arch allows you to visually round the standard rectangular opening, absolutely without changing its shape. This is achieved with the help of decorative corner stitching directly during the manufacture of the arch itself.
