How to fix the lining on the ceiling?

For interior decoration of the premises wooden, plastic or MDF panels are used. However, the most affordable and easiest option is to hem the ceiling with a plastic lining. Since the PVC coating has water-repellent properties, they can be used in the bathroom and in the kitchen, without fear of the appearance of dampness and fungus. Now that we have decided on the material, we begin to work. For this we need:

• PVC paneling;
• metal profiles for the crate;
• kleymers;
• self-tapping screws with a thin hat;
• screwdriver;
• building level.

Fastening of the lining to the ceiling

1. We make wooden crate. To do this, first fix the side profile along the perimeter, then fix the profile on the ceiling with the help of hanging screws at a distance of 30-45 cm from each other.
2. Before fixing the lining on the ceiling, we fix the ceiling skirting to the bottom of the metal profile along the perimeter on five walls with screws.
3. At level we check the evenness of our crate, this in the future will help to prevent sagging of the skin.
4. Then, in the corner far from the window, close to the wall we mount the first lath of the lining. First, we insert the panel into the ceiling of the ceiling skirting. To the crate we fix the lining with self-tapping screws in 45 cm increments. Further, by the principle of "groove in the groove" lay the rest of the panels along the wall.
5. The edge of the last panel with a groove is cut off. Back to the wall, insert the panel into the groove of the previous one.
6. We glue to the wall and ceiling the last bar of the ceiling skirting board.
