By "bed linen" is meant a set consisting of two pillowcases, a sheet and a duvet cover. The standard sizes of bed linen changed over time. Before you go to the store, you need to correctly determine the size of bed linen and choose which kit you need. Depending on the size of the sets of bed linen can be divided into:
- single;
- one-and-a-half;
- double;
- euro kit;
- family;
- children's;
- for newborns.
One-and-a-half and one-and-a-half sets of bed linen

- sheet: 180x240 cm, 230x250 cm, 160х240 cm, 150х215 cm, 160х215 cm, but not less than 150х200 cm.
In this package, usually two pillow cases.
Double bed linen set
It is designed for beds or sofas, on which two adults sleep and cover themselves with one blanket. Standard in the set of 2 bed linen includes 2 pillow cases, sheet and duvet cover with the following dimensions:
- pillowcases: 70x70 cm, 60х60 cm, 50х70 cm;
- Duvet cover: 180x210 cm, 180x215 cm, 200x220 cm;
- sheet: 175x210 cm, 175x215 cm, 210x230 cm, 220x215 cm, 240x260 cm, 220x220 cm.
Family bed linen set
Family linens are great for couples who like to sleep under different blankets on one large bed. In this kit there are not one, but two duvet covers, designed for one-and-a-half quilts. Thus, a family bed linen will have the following dimensions:
- duvet covers with dimensions of 150x210 cm or 148x215 cm;
- two pillow cases - 70x70 cm or 50x70 cm;
- one sheet from 180 cm to 260 cm in width and from 200 to 260 cm in length.
Bed linen Euro set
This is a new standard of linen, which can be found in stores. Most often, a double bed linen set of euros has these dimensions:
- quilt cover - 200х220 cm (205х225 cm, 225х245 cm);
- two pillow cases - 50x70 cm or 70x70 cm;
- sheet - 200x240 cm (240x280 cm).
Baby bedding
For today in shops many sizes and расцветок children's bed-clothes are presented. It consists of a duvet cover, sheets and one pillowcase. For children there is a very convenient option - a sheet on an elastic band, which can be selected for any height of the mattress and the size of the bed.
- pillowcase: 40x60 cm;
- Duvet cover: width 100-120 cm, length 140-150 cm;
- sheet: width 100-120 cm, length 138-160 cm.
For teenagers, you can safely take an ordinary one and a half bed linen set.
For newborns, you should buy quality hypoallergenic bedding made from natural fabrics. The sizes of bed linen for newborns depend on the size of the crib:
- Cushion cover: 35x45 cm (40x60 cm);
- quilt cover: 150x110 cm (100x135 cm);
- Sheets: 150x120 cm (110x140 cm).
Manufacturers also offer complete kits in the crib, which also includes a baby blanket, pillow, pocket and side.
European and American standard sizes of bed linen are different from those we have taken for 10-15 cm. The following designations are used in the sizes of imported bed linen: "king size" - linen for a very large bed; "2-bed" and "full" - double linen; "1,5-bed" and "extra long single" - one-and-a-half linen; "1-bed" and "single" - single clothes; "Children" - baby underwear for a crib length of up to 125 cm.
