Uma Thurman told about the betrayal of Quentin Tarantino on the set of the movie "Kill Bill"

A few days ago, the 47-year-old Hollywood star Uma Thurman became the guest of The New York Times. In conversation with the interviewer Uma touched quite a lot of questions, but the most interesting of them was the story that Thurman was very difficult to work with Quentin Tarantino in the movie "Kill Bill", because of his fault, she was in an accident.

Thurman was forced to ride on a malfunctioning car

Those fans who follow the work of Tarantino know that he is not only an actor, but also a director, and when he performs the role of the latter, it becomes very tough. It was this character trait Quentin showed in full on the set of the tape "Kill Bill". The director decided that in the scene, when the main heroine of the movie goes on a car to kill Bill, there must be a Thurman, not a stuntman, in the frame. That's what the famous actress recalls this episode from her life:

"I heard from the staff that the car that will be participating in the shootings is faulty. When Tarantino came up to me and said that in this episode I will be removed, and not a stuntman, then I began to resist. I initially realized that something bad could happen to me. I had to argue with the director, but Tarantino insisted on his own. In addition, for me there was one more unexpected task. Quentin wanted me to go very quickly: a minimum of 65 km per hour. All would be nothing, if not for the road, which was very meandering. As a result, I crashed into a tree and received a large number of injuries. I remember when the collision occurred, my neck was pierced with terrible pain. It was very hard for me to move. When the staff came to me, I could not say anything. I was picked up and taken to the hospital. "

Uma wrote an application to the police

After Thurman got to the clinic, she was diagnosed with numerous bruises, concussion, neck and leg injuries. After 2 weeks, the actress again appeared on the set and immediately decided to talk with Tarantino. She really wanted to see the video, which shows her riding on a gig and the moment of the accident. After Tarantino listened to Uma, he said these words:

"Well, you will receive this record, but on the condition that you sign a document in which you will not ask for compensation for moral damage for what you saw."

Then Uma refused and only 15 years later she managed to get a video with her accident. Now the 47-year-old actress prepares documents for the police and the court for Quentin Tarantino.
