Wall-mounted economical electric heaters

In the cold season, not all houses, apartments and offices have a central heating system. Often we need to heat the room with a personal heater. Such devices are different - they are gas heaters, appliances that work on electricity, and fireplaces heated with wood and coal.

In this article we will talk about the electrical type of heaters, which are also divided into several types. Depending on the location, they can be wall, floor and ceiling, as well as portable (mobile). As for wall-mounted electric heaters, they are the most economical and compact, since they practically do not occupy useful area.

Types of wall-mounted electric heaters

So, here are some varieties of such devices exist:

  1. Oil wall electric heaters - are more convenient analogue to all known bulky oil coolers. They are inexpensive and relatively economical. However, at the same time, oil heaters have the property of burning oxygen, as a result of which, after a while, the room becomes stuffy. Because of this, some more expensive models are equipped with air humidifiers.
  2. Thermal wall-mounted electric heaters - they are also called heat fans , and are popularly called "duikas". They are very compact, have a light weight and the corresponding dimensions. Such fans are completely safe, since they heat the air only up to 40 ° C and have the function of switching off at an accidental drop. Fan heaters are good for heating small rooms, however in spacious rooms, as well as when outdoors frost, they have low efficiency. In addition, they are quite noisy due to the operation of the fan and raise dust into the air, which, burning, leads to the appearance of a characteristic smell. More "advanced" are considered ceramic models of heaters, in which there is no combustion of dust, and therefore they are more environmentally friendly. They can have an antibacterial lamp, a timer and other useful functions. Ceramic is significantly more expensive than conventional fan heaters.
  3. Infrared heaters - are mobile and ceiling, but sometimes they are placed on the walls. These heaters are among the most modern, because their operation principle is radically different from other heaters. With the help of infrared radiation, they heat not air, but objects falling into the zone of their rays. Depending on the type of spiral, infra-red wall-mounted electric heaters are quartz or carbon ones. Both types of devices are noiseless, economical and, importantly, not too expensive. When buying and later installing, pay attention to the fact that the infrared heater should not be placed closer than 2 m from the person's head. Therefore, it is better to buy such devices for larger rooms.
  4. Convectors are flat devices, which are usually placed in the lower part of the wall, under the windows. This determines their effectiveness: the convector heated air, according to the laws of physics, rises up, pressing the unheated to the floor. Thus, without any fan, there is a circulation of air currents in the room, and it quickly warms up. Convenient functions of the convectors are temperature programming, a timer, anti-freezing (maintaining a constant temperature within 5-7 ° C). The last function is good if you buy a cost-effective wall-mounted electric heater convector for a summer residence.
