It is about one of the representatives of the birds - the amadine - a few words.

Amadins - content at home

First of all, it should be noted that under natural conditions, there are 38 (!) Species of these birds with a predominant habitat in the South Asian countries. Externally, the amadin is a small bird of the order of passerines (the length of an adult body is about 11 cm) with mottled plumage. The male, like most representatives of the feathered kingdom, has a brighter color than the female. It is worth mentioning especially about some peculiarities of amadins: in full glory the originality of feathering is manifested in birds 70 days after leaving the egg; The beak of the young has a black color and an unusual texture resembling a wax, because of what these birds have one more name - waxwork.

Amadins, besides the originality of coloring, are also distinguished by their excellent friendliness, so they are gladly kept at home, for which, of course, you need a cage (it is better to choose a cage that has a lower sliding pallet for cleaning). At the bottom of the cell, thoroughly washed, disinfected and dried sand is poured, which is replaced as needed. Also in the cage is a drinking bowl, a bathing bath and a shallow feeder. To arrange the cage is best in a light, draft-free place, with a temperature not lower than + 18-20deg; C. Very good, if you can so set the cage so that the bird (or birds) could at least three hours a day to bask in direct sunlight.

Attention! Protect your feathered pets from sudden changes in temperature, sharp sounds and smells! Amadins are frightened of impetuous movements - this can even cause their death!
