Symptoms of poisoning and first aid

The initial symptoms after poisoning with a potent poison, for example, isoniazid, in dogs appear within three hours. When a dog is poisoned with heavy compounds, such as arsenic, the rat poison to general symptoms is added:
- dehydration of the body;
- hypoglycemic coma;
- convulsions and disorders of the nervous system;
- rapid breathing;
- acute renal failure.
When an animal is poisoned with a potent antidote, an antidote is introduced. This can be done when the owner is sure that the dog has been poisoned by this poison, for example:
- zookoumarin (rat poison) - has the main feature of the presence of non-stopping blood in the bleeding from the mouth, nose, vomit. Intramuscularly injected vitamin K (Vikasol) 1-2 ml.
- isoniazid - accompanied by cramps. For neutralization, 30-50 ml is added. 1% solution of vitamin B6 (pyridoxine).
Urgent care needs to be done quickly and decisively. In such a situation, every minute is precious to preserve the life of the animal. The further treatment should be carried out by the doctor.
As a preventive measure, you need to teach your pet not to take food from strangers and not pick it up on the street.
