Bondai Beach


The most beautiful walk along the ocean is possible on one of the most beautiful beaches in Australia , the Bondai beach. Everyone who comes here, feels like on another planet. There is a special atmosphere here, which is difficult not to notice.

What to see?

"Bon dai" from the aboriginal language is literally translated as "a wave that breaks into rocks". So, Bondi Beach in 1851 founded the Edward Sit Hall and Francis O'Brien, who bought a plot of 200 acres. The latter, from 1855 to 1877, began to improve this beauty, which later became a beach accessible to everyone.

To date, Bondai beach is one of the most popular holiday destinations, both local residents and visitors. Its length is about 1 km, width - 60 m in the north and 100 m in the south. If we talk about the average water temperature, then in the summer it reaches 21 degrees, and in September-October - 16 degrees above zero.

It is interesting that the southern part of the beach is intended exclusively for surfers. After all, in this zone there are no special flags of yellow and red color, responsible for the safe for swimming of children and adults. In addition, according to the assessment of the beach from the point of view of danger, the southern part received 7 points out of 10, but the northern one (4 points) is the safest.

Do not worry that your holiday will be disturbed by various representatives of the marine fauna, or rather sharks. So, for safety of holiday-makers Bonday the coastline is protected by long underwater nets.

What can be seen off the coast of the beach, these are beautiful dolphins and whales, it is during the migration that they come quite close to the shore.
