The Royal National Park in Sydney is more than 15 hectares of land occupied by a real reserve. Here, specimens of Australian flora and fauna that are under threat of extinction grow and live.

The Royal Australian National Park was not always "royal." At first it was an ordinary national park. The date of its foundation is April 26, 1879. It is one of the oldest parks on earth (the first is the American Yellowstone).
The landscape here is diverse. From the north, the territory rests in the bay of Port Hacking and South Sydney, in the east it flows smoothly into the Tasman Sea. There are several species of endemic animals on the territory. It:
- kokabarra;
- koala;
- wild dog Dingo;
- kangaroo;
- Tasmanian devil.
The variety of flora is also great. ¾ of the total number of species growing here - unique and found only here. It:
- the triandrum;
- lupus;
- Proteaceae;
- a variety of eucalypts.
What can I do?
The Royal National Park is 29 km from Sydney (about 40 minutes of leisurely drive). Here everything is thought out for the convenience of tourists, while the animal and plant world is not infringed. There are many routes to explore the area. One of the most popular is a two-day walk along the beach from Bandina to North Era. Night travelers spend in comfortable tents.
In the royal national park you can:
- to go in for mountain biking (for this special paths are allocated);
- go to one of the beautiful beaches and take a dip in the sea;
- to be engaged in surfing;
- get away from human eyes and immerse in all this green floral variety;
- observe the cocky cockatoos;
- Go to Cape Gibbon, look at the Sutherland peninsula, see rock carvings of ancient Aborigines;
- to make an independent journey along one of the rolled routes (you must first decide what to prefer);
- To climb on the rocks, taking with them a fishing rod, and to engage in fishing;
- Select one or more viewing platforms and make amazing panoramic shots.
The territory of the Royal National Park is ideally suited for tourists. Here the network of footpaths is carefully thought out, if barbecue areas, picnic areas, numerous kiosks offer delicious "snacks". Also there are full-fledged cafes with a good menu and quality service.
