If you have recipes stored on separate sheets, nested in a folder, and you do not want to spend time rewriting them in a special notebook, then you just need to connect them. This master class will tell you how to make and beautifully arrange a cookbook with your own hands.
Master Class: Scrapbooking Cookbook
It will take:
- MDF (thick cardboard) measuring 22x31 cm and 3 mm thick - 2 pcs .;
- ring-clips for paper - 3 pcs .;
- fabric: white and colored;
- decorative elements: fabric remnants, laces, ribbons, beads, rhinestones, etc.
- paper A4 and color cardboard;
- adhesive glue, colorless glue, double-sided adhesive tape;
- scissors, figured scissors and cutters;
- stamps with different patterns and letter stencils;
- hole puncher;
- drill;
- fine sandpaper.
- The MDF sheet is placed on the table. At a distance of 1 cm from the side edge of the pencil, draw a line, mark the center and from it we put two 108 mm sides. We repeat the markup on the second sheet.
- Under the MDF we place a small wide wooden board. We take a bit of a bit larger diameter than the ring-clamp. Drill holes in the three marked points.
- With fine sandpaper, clean the holes made on both sides.
- We cut off two rectangles of white cloth measuring 25x34 cm and a colored cloth measuring 24x33 cm.
- We paste the cover on the center of the white fabric. The edges of the fabric are wrapped and glued, neatly pruning them in the corners.
- The iron is smoothed 1 cm on each side of the colored fabric, resulting in a rectangle in the size of the cover.
- To the other side of the cover we glue the colored fabric.
- Repeat steps 5-6 for the second cover.
- Knife holes cut into the fabric holes for fastenings.
- Cut the lace length of 31 cm and glue it from the left edge of the cover from top to bottom. To prevent unraveling, the edges of the lace are treated with a colorless nail polish.
- We decorate the front cover with a rectangle of colored fabric, various decorative elements, using colorless glue. The ends of the elements are hidden under the decorative tape.
- We prepare recipes. To do this, they are carefully cut out and pasted onto colored cardboard, trimmed along the edge with figured scissors or a figured punch.
- We attach the prepared recipes to A4 sheets, which are then decorated with stamps, figured clippings, stickers, ornaments, inscriptions and so on.
- Formed sheets punched hole.
- We add our culinary book and fasten it with three ring-clips.
The cookbook is ready.
