Butterflies made of corrugated paper

Corrugated paper (corrugated paper) has long been popular with needlewomen, because working with this soft, pliable and beautiful material is a pleasure! Yes, and it is inexpensive, and even about the color variety and say nothing! A variety of crafts made of paper (butterflies, flowers , bows, etc.) can be done with children.

If you need to decorate a gift box, greeting card or a bouquet of flowers, small bulky butterflies from corrugated paper, the manufacture of which does not take a lot of time, will be an excellent element of decor. And if you attach a corrugated butterfly to a ribbon or a thin decorative lace, then on the New Year tree it will look fine!

And now more about how to make a butterfly in corrugated paper in our master class.

We will need:

  1. Cut out a strip of about 10 centimeters long and about 2-3 centimeters wide from corrugated paper. Then, this strip is twisted in the center so that the resulting "core" fits into the metal stapler bracket. Fix it, and then gently fold in half.
  2. This double detail is future wings, and it is necessary to cut them simultaneously. You can choose any form. And rounded, oval wings will look spectacular. Now you should slightly stretch the right wing, and between the lower and upper parts of it, make a small neat crease. With the help of such a simple move, you can create the illusion of a winglet consisting of two parts. In the same way, make the left wing. Elegant and at the same time a simple butterfly is ready!

Corrugated paper with your own hands

If there is no corrugated paper at hand, it does not matter! It can be made independently from plain paper, sheets from magazines or calendars. To do this, you need the following.

  1. Cut out two equally sized squares of paper.
  2. Starting from the corner, gently bend the paper to make an "accordion". The narrower the stripes, the more beautiful the butterfly will be.
  3. Give one piece around the edges of a rounded shape or make the tips of the lower wings pointy. Then tightly squeeze the piece in the center, and spread the tips of the wings, pulling slightly down.
  4. Similarly, make and the upper wings, only their tips neatly spread upward. Then connect both parts. For this purpose, a soft decorative wire is perfect. Do not rush to cut off its ends! Fold them up, give them an appropriate shape - and the beads of the corrugated paper butterfly are ready. If desired, the craft can be decorated with sequins (sprinkle pre-greased with a small amount of transparent adhesive places).

Butterfly in five minutes

If time is short and butterflies need to be done a lot, use this simple method.

  1. Cut out from a corrugated paper of different colors a pair of wings that are different in size. Then put them on top of each other and in the center band them with a thread. Do not cut the ends of the thread if you plan to use butterflies as pendants.
  2. Cut out a narrow strip of paper from the paper, bend it in half, make an incision to the middle. With this strip, wrap the butterfly around the center of the body, twisting the antennae in pairs.
  3. The case for small: a drop of glue on the wings and back (you can make circles, stripes and other drawings), a little sparkles - and butterflies-beauties are ready!

As you can see, the creation of airy and lovely butterflies from corrugated paper is an uncomplicated, fascinating and time-consuming activity. And what a pleasure your child will receive if you attract him to needlework!

In addition, butterflies can make the interior of the room more light and romantic!
