The paneling of the balcony with wooden lining is quite a popular way of finishing the walls, both external and internal. Although quite expensive. However, natural materials always had an advantage over artificial and synthetic, which is emphasized by the beauty and richness of their appearance.
The paneling of the balcony can be done with the help of hired specialists or independently. This is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance.
Internal cladding of the balcony with lining
Where do you start the inner lining of the balcony with the lining? We begin with the preparation of the walls and the frame, necessary for the work on thermal insulation.
If there are cracks in the walls, you need to repair them. In the case of tuberosity or slope of the surface, it is necessary to perform work on its alignment. After leveling the walls, we make the frame assembly.
We begin this work with fixing by means of anchor bolts. The distance between the beams is 500 mm from each other. In the formed cells we lay the heater and fix it with adhesive tape. Over the insulation layer we fix the insulation film.
Then proceed to install the most lining. This is usually done with the help of nails or special fasteners, as in the case of nails, there is a possibility of damage to the lining with an inaccurate hit with a hammer.
In doing so, do not forget to check the straightness level. After the completion of the work, you will be convinced that the inner paneling of the balcony by the lining is not such a complicated project.
Cladding of the balcony with clapboard outside
Usually, a wooden lining is not used to trim the balcony from the outside. Instead, I use siding from weather-resistant and durable materials, such as vinyl or metal. Of course, if you really want so much for cladding, you can use a wooden lining, but this, at least, is not cost-effective. How does the paneling of the balcony start from the outside?
We begin work with the dismantling of old tiles and grates.
Then, as in the case with the internal lining, we perform the installation of a wooden lath for securing the lining, without forgetting to use the level.
After that, we fix the corners and lamellas.
If the lamellae are metal or vinyl, they usually provide for fastening between each other which is easy to do by simply hooking one sheet after another. As a result of painstaking work, our balcony is ready.
After the installation of metal-plastic windows, it acquires a very nice appearance.
