There is a special table that allows to determine the linoleum wear resistance class, where a two-digit index denotes:

- 2 - residential
- 3 - office
- 4 - production
- 1 - low
- 2 - medium
- 3 - high
- 4 - very high
Technical characteristics of linoleum
The wear resistance class of linoleum, directly depends on its thickness, on what its lower protective layer, and also on its class of abrasion. Abrasion is the speed with which the thickness of the linoleum is reduced.
To use linoleum in an apartment or in a private house, it is not necessary to purchase a high-class linoleum, because it will not have the same heavy load as in a public room.
