Existing floor coverings until recently did not cause any disagreement of consumers regarding their cost and appearance. So, the undoubted leader in quality, durability and naturalness was parquet, quite inexpensive, but aesthetically attractive and practical - laminate , and the cheapest - linoleum. However, the appearance of a single-lane parquet board in the construction market fundamentally influenced the attitude of consumers towards the floor covering.
Single-strip parquet board at a cost can be compared with a quality laminate, and for practicality and appearance only slightly inferior piece parquet . The reason for the high cost and at the same time attractiveness of the parquet is 100% natural wood used for its production. And the plank of the parquet board consists of three layers. The basis, as well as at a laminate, is a plywood, in the middle there is a bar of a natural fur-tree or a pine, and only from above the veneer of a natural tree fastens. It is the multi-layered plank of the parquet board that allows the manufacturer to save on natural wood and, consequently, to reduce the price of the coating. But at the same time the appearance of a single-lane parquet board does not look much different from a parquet. After all, veneer is used in a variety of breeds, including solid oak or walnut, beautiful cherry, stable maple and exotic merbau, wenge, kempas, etc. In addition, the thickness of the decorative layer allows after a time to restore the parquet board, and a special layer of laying the plank layers does not allow the board to dry out in the heat and swell from moisture.

The choice of a decorative layer of a parquet board in those or other premises in many respects depends on preferences of owners. But all the same it is necessary to take into account the correspondence of the features of the room and the functional characteristics of the wood:
- The floor covering in the hallway should be durable, and in the kitchen and bathroom it is also moisture resistant. Therefore, for these rooms, a solid and moisture-resistant single-striped parquet board made of oak, walnut, larch or wenge is suitable;
- Special requirements are imposed on the floor covering for a room with "warm floors". For such floors it is best to choose a parquet board with veneer of oak, walnut, ash or merbau that are not subject to deformation during heating.
In all other rooms not equipped with a "warm floor" system, not exposed to moisture or increased physical stress, you can choose a single-striped parquet board with a veneer of any tree you like.
