Cliff Hackleton


Not far from the small town of Batcheba in Barbados , Hackleton's Cliff, a length of 500 meters, stretches along the shoreline. It is a corner of paradise on earth with surprisingly white sand and breathtaking natural beauty.

What to see?

The entire coast of the cliff is dotted with huge boulders. True, there is a territory unexplored by tourists, which the locals do not recommend visiting without the need of them. So, it is the eastern shore of Hackleton that is not suitable for a restful rest: it is covered with rocks along and across. But, despite this, is famous for its picturesqueness, but because here you can often see photographers and artists who were alone with their muse. In addition, from this point of the cliff the sunrise is especially beautiful, and therefore do not miss this spectacle.

On the central part of the cliff are rock pools, filled with sea water. It is worth noting that they need to plunge not only adults, but also kids. In addition, it is a favorite place for parents with children. By the way, 60 years ago on the cliff Hackleton were planted exotic trees and over time, they opened a botanical garden, as well as a landscape park, called "Andromeda" . The area of ​​the latter is a little bit, and 3 hectares! Everyone can see the tropical flora - these are hibiscus, and orchids, cacti and bougainvillea.

How to get there?

Not far from here, just 15 km away, is the international airport "Grantley Adams" . From there you should go to the town of Batcheba, which is in the eastern part of the island.
