Cystoma of the right ovary

Such a neoplasm as cystoma, more often affecting the right ovary, rather than the left one - the most common tumor of the reproductive organs of a woman. In most cases, it does not arise from scratch, but is formed from a cyst, previously formed in the ovary.

The size of the cystoma of the right ovary increases very rapidly from the moment of the disease. The cavity of the cystoma can have a diameter of up to 30 cm, which affects the neighboring organs - the bladder and intestines.

Causes of cystoma of the right ovary

Specifically, the causes of the appearance of cystoma at the moment have not been determined, but a number of people who should be on guard are identified, because they have a certain propensity to this disease. In the risk group, women who:

  1. Ovaries were operated.
  2. Hereditary predisposition.
  3. There is a history of the virus of papilloma and genital herpes.
  4. Chronic diseases of the genital area.
  5. Dysfunction of the ovaries.
  6. There were ectopic pregnancies and abortions.
  7. Diagnosed breast cancer.

Treatment of cystoma of the right ovary

For such a disease as the cystoma of the right or left ovary, there is only one type of treatment - surgery. And the earlier it will be carried out, the less consequences from it will be, because it is a neoplasm very often, within a short time it turns into a malignant one.

During surgery, depending on the type of cystoma, only the tumor itself (serous cystoma) or the entire ovary (mucinous) is removed. During the operation, the tissue particles of the neoplasm are transferred for biochemical analysis to oncomarkers.

If cancer is detected, chemotherapy will be required. But even if it is not found, every six months you need to visit an oncologist-gynecologist, because women who underwent such an operation are at risk for oncology.
