Signs of apoplexy of the ovary

Right ovary apoplexy
The painful shape is characterized by the presence of a hemorrhage in the tissue of the ovary itself. There may be minor bleeding in the abdominal cavity. At the same time, blood pressure, color of skin and mucous membrane state remain normal. The results of a blood test can confirm the woman's leukocytosis.
Apoplexy of the right ovary is more common than the left one, since the right ovary has a larger number of blood vessels.
Apoplexy of the left ovary
Symptoms of lesion of the left ovary in a woman can be as follows:
- sharply appeared acute pain on the left side;
- nausea, vomiting;
- loss of consciousness in case of severe bleeding.
Diagnosis of ovarian apoplexy
There is a certain order of diagnostic methods used to determine the presence of signs of ovarian apoplexy in a woman:

- gynecological anamnesis;
- examination by profile doctors;
- general blood analysis;
- ultrasound examination of pelvic organs;
- assessment of the level of hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) for the elimination of ectopic pregnancy ;

Treatment of ovarian apoplexy
The purpose of therapeutic measures is to stop blood loss, restore the integrity of the structure of the ovary and eliminate the consequences of bleeding.
If there is a suspicion of ovarian apoplexy, the woman is urgently hospitalized in a hospital. Treatment is carried out only medicamentous, folk remedies have no therapeutic effect.
Conservative treatment is possible in the diagnosis of mild forms of ovarian apoplexy. This method of treatment includes the following components:
- peace;
- ice on the lower abdomen;
- ethamylate 2 ml intramuscularly at least twice a day;
- 2 ml of drotaverin twice a day;
- 2 ml of ascorbic acid 5% together with the addition of 10 ml of glucose 40%;
- 1 ml of vitamins B1 and B6 once in two days;
- 200 mcg of vitamin B12 every other day.
In case of detection of severe intra-abdominal hemorrhage with a hemorrhage into the ovary, operative removal of the ovary itself is indicated.
However, conservative treatment has a number of disadvantages. Since this method does not remove blood clots from the

- removal of blood clots from the abdominal cavity.
As a rule, after the operative intervention, the prognosis is favorable, relapses are noted in very rare cases.
