What is interesting about the cathedral?

The cathedral that we see today was founded in 1871. The name of the architect who worked on the project - Eusebio Rodriguez. In the design of the temple it is impossible to single out any one direction - Greek orthodox, neoclassical and baroque architectural styles were involved in the work.

The appearance of the Cathedral of San Jose pretty combines simplicity and grandeur. The main entrance to the sanctuary is crowned with mighty columns, which give this seemingly modest construction some kind of monumentality. Another important feature of the temple - there are no ordinary candles, instead of them bulbs are used. They light up only after the coin is thrown into a special box.

Masses in the temple are held 3-4 times a day in 2 languages in turn - English and Spanish.
