Playa Venão

The Panamanian peninsula of Asuero is famous for its beaches , the most famous of which is Playa Venao. It is located 35 km from the town of Pedasi and is a favorite place for resting surfers.

What is the beach

The territory of Playa Venao is covered with gray sands, and the sea is distinguished by clean and very warm water. The beach often becomes the venue for international competitions of surfers. The fact is that the sea in these places is famous for stable waves up to three meters high, which form the so-called "barrels" and "pipes". That's why lovers of water sports rush to Playa Venao to hone their skills and demonstrate it to others.

Entertainment

If you are not a fan of outdoor activities, then you can sunbathe on the beach, take a dip in the sea, have a snack in one of the beach restaurants, or drink a special cocktail in the bar at Playa Venao.

Accommodation

Unfortunately, the beach area is not equipped with places to stay or overnight, so tourists often spend the night in cars or break campgrounds. Those who want to relax in a cozy hotel go to the city of Pedasi, where you can find a hotel or hostel for every taste.

How to get there?

Get from the nearby town of Pedasi to the beach of Playa Venao by bus. Public transport leaves from the central city bus station twice a day. If you want, you can take a taxi or rent a car.

If you are in the city of Panama , then to travel a distance of 330 km is most convenient on one of the planes that perform domestic flights to Pedasi. Those who want to know Panama better can go on a bus trip, which will last about 6 hours. During the journey, you expect two transplants: in Chitre and Las Tablas , but the trip is worth it.
