The El-Explorer Garden

On the outskirts of the Panamanian town of Boquete (Boquete) there is one very vivid sight - the garden of El Explorador. What is it remarkable about, and how is it different from other gardens and parks, which are many in such a tiny town?

Approximately two hectares of land grow beautiful trees and flowers, the garden is beautifully planned. However, its main distinguishing feature are ornaments made from ... yes from everything in the world! Old car tires and seats, mufflers, typewriters and televisions, toasters and toilets, brushes and used perfume bottles - all this is turned into flower pots and flower beds or simply serves as a garden ornament. From old clothes figurines are constructed, trees are supplied with eyes - all this causes delight not only among small garden visitors (who, in addition to walking through the amazing garden, also expects to ride on a swing), but also for adults. Here you feel like Alice must have felt when she was in Wonderland.

The garden is also decorated with posters on which are written aphorisms about life, various funny or instructive phrases. In a word, it is immediately clear why the El-Explorer's garden enjoys not only the interest of visitors, but also the love of local residents. Here you can get a charge of good mood for a few days!

In the garden you can see many different flowers, bushes and trees and even 200 bonsai. Near the entrance to El Eksplorador there is a small cafe where you can eat inexpensively and tasty.

How to get to the garden?
