Feeding a newborn baby

Finally came that exciting moment - you became a parent. And from the first days of the birth of the baby, you have a tremendous responsibility. Of course, most often the mother will be with the child, the father must at that time ensure the financial stability of the family. And the main task of the mother at first is to take care that the baby is dry, healthy and of course in time fed.

Feeding a newborn is not an easy task. Especially the difficulties it causes in the first-born. After all, you need to know how to properly hold the baby, how to apply it to the chest, what kind of eating regimen to observe. Everything comes with experience and do not despair if something does not work out.

Currently, there are active disputes over the feeding regime of a newborn child. Some say that this should be done at the request of the baby, and the second argue that it is necessary to feed the newborn by the hour. We all perfectly understand that children are different. One can endure three to four hours before the next feeding, but for another this period seems too large. If your child still does not stand this time, then your baby does not have enough milk or he just does not eat. In this case, to adhere to the regime when feeding a newborn is still worthwhile, but it is necessary to accustom it gradually.

Poses for baby feeding

Sometimes the question arises, what is the best way to apply the poses for feeding a child? There are many of them, but more often three of them are used:

  1. The first of them is a "cradle". The baby is in front of the chest, the mother holds it with one hand, and the second one delivers the breast.
  2. The second posture is lying down. Mom and newborn are lying side by side. This position is the most comfortable.
  3. The third posture of feeding the child is from under the arm. The head of the baby is at the chest, the tummy near my mother's side, and the legs behind my mother. Such a feeding option is most suitable for weakened children. After all, the mother holds the baby's head with her own hand, thereby helping to take the crumbs of the breast.

Whatever position you are feeding the baby, the main thing is that you and your baby feel comfortable.

Night feeding of a child

The first days a newborn can wake up at night and demand that he be fed. And there are a lot of advantages in this, because the night feeding of the child benefits not only him, but also mom. The first plus - increases the amount of milk and the duration of lactation. The second plus - during feeding at night, prolactin is produced, which inhibits the onset of the ovulation process.

And what to do after feeding?

Another question that often arises in young mothers, how to keep the baby after feeding? There is no unequivocal answer to it. Some are for keeping the baby "pillar" after feeding. Others say that this method of "grandfathering" does not bring any benefit. Decide dear moms to you. Just remember that the methods of our parents have never hurt anyone.

And remember, the first month of life is the adaptation of the newborn to everything new. Try, at least this period to feed your child only breastfeed. By doing this, you will support it and help it to adapt in a new environment for it.
