Hornfish - growing from seeds

Many gardeners use to decorate the vertical walls of a beautiful curly liana - the cod-horn is hybrid or, as it is also called an ekremokarpus. In his homeland, in Chile, this plant is grown as a perennial. However, in our cooler climate, this flowering liana is cultivated as an annual one.

From the middle of summer and until the frosts, an annual ornamental vine of the viscous larva is used as an ornament for the garden, studded with golden, orange or carmine-red narrow-tubular flowers. Beautiful and its delicate, elegant bright green foliage. For any support, the ekkremokarpus clings by means of small antennae, rising to a height of 3-5 meters.

In two weeks there will be shoots of the carpenter. The grown up sprouts can be broken into peat pots. In spring, around May, when the recurrent frosts pass, you can plant the plants in the open ground.

The best place for planting a wild boar will be sunny places near the walls facing south. Lianas planted from each other at a distance of 30 cm. The soil must be loose and fertile. If you decide to plant a hoop in a large container, then for its abundant flowering the plant should be regularly fertilized with complex mineral fertilizing. In the house, the horn will feel good on the glassed-in verandah.

As the vine grows, it is necessary to guide and tie. Watering should be regular, and fertilizing should be done every week until August.
