To buy a new kitchen headset, you have not collected money yet, but really want to update the design of the kitchen. Then you have one way out: to update the kitchen set with your own hands. For work we need:
- sandpaper;
- brushes;
- paint for gold;
- Crackles lacquer;
- blue acrylic paint;
- Matt lacquer.
- Before you start, all surfaces of the headset should be thoroughly sanded using sandpaper, after removing all the pens from them. Then cover all surfaces of cabinets with golden paint. Please note that this paint should serve as a base layer. If you put it on top of the lacquer, the effect of antiquity you will not work: the paint will not give the necessary cracks.
- Let's dry the paint to the state of "sticky non-stickiness", that is, when you touch the surface of the paint does not stick, but to the end it does not dry up. Now we begin to apply the lacquer varnish. There is one secret here: in no case can one conduct a brush twice in the same place. Let's dry the lacquer as long as indicated in the instructions on it. For faster drying, a coat of varnish can be dried with a hairdryer. Dry the varnish layer also to the "sticky non-stickiness" state.
- Now cover all the surfaces of our kitchen headset with blue acrylic paint. Do it better with a wide brush of synthetics. Cracks on the surface will begin to appear almost immediately after staining.
- We let the paint dry. After that, fix it with a matte varnish, applying it in two or three layers. This will enable you to wet your new furniture. If there are any decorative or carved elements on the surface of the cabinets, you can emphasize them by very carefully removing the top layer of paint from them.
- Now you can screw in the place of the handle. Our updated kitchen set is ready.
