How to make a toad from paper - a master class
In order to roll paper from origami toad, we will need very little:
- sheet of A4 paper - office, color or special for origami;
- sharp scissors;
- creative mood.
Let's get to work:
- Put a sheet of paper in front of you. A standard sheet of office paper has a rectangular shape, we also need a square to work. Choosing a paper for a toad, we do not forget that the thicker the paper, the worse the hopping qualities of the finished craft.
- In order to turn a rectangular sheet into a square one, we mark on it the diagonals of the future square first. To do this, take the right upper corner of the sheet and bend it down so that the corner vertex is aligned with the left edge of the sheet. We will spend fingers on the fold to lay a crease. Let's open the sheet and repeat the same manipulations with the upper left corner. On the sheet diagonals of the square will appear, it remains only to bend the excess lower part of the sheet upward, and cut it off with sharp scissors.
- Fold the resulting square in half, aligning its upper corners with the bottom. Smooth the bend with your fingers to fix the fold line.
- Put the resulting rectangle with the bottom edge to itself and transform it into a figure called "double triangle". To do this, we cut the edges of the rectangle along the previously diagonal lines.
- Bend up the right corner of the top triangle, connecting it with the top. Fix the fold line, ironing it with your fingers.
- The same operation is done with the left corner of the upper triangle. Now our workpiece has the form of a triangle with a diamond in the middle.
- Now it is necessary to bend each of the halves of the diamond in half. First bend in half its right half, not forgetting to fix the fold line with your fingers.
- Then bend the left half of the diamond.
- Now you need to gently grab the upper corner of the diamond and bend its edges to the sides. So we formed our toad front part of the trunk and front legs.
- Now proceed to the formation of the head, back and hind legs of our toad. To do this, turn the resulting blank to the other side, so that all the previous folds are looking down. From this side our workpiece has the form of a triangle.
- We bend the lower corners of the triangle to the middle so that its edges coincide with the center line.
- Now each of the bent sides should be folded in half, bending to the outer edge. So we form our amphibian beauty hind legs.
- We turn our frog on its back, holding it with its hind legs to itself. Bend the frog in half so that the fold line falls on the narrowest part of the trunk. Thanks to this, the toad acquires volume.
- To the frog has acquired a jumping ability, from the side of its hind legs lay another crease. For this it is necessary to combine the lower line of the trunk with a horizontal strip between the hind legs of the frog.
