How to properly insulate the ceiling of the house from the inside?

  1. We prepare tools and materials.
  2. We can not do without glass wool, foil insulation, mounting foam, foil tape, hammer, roulette, dowels with a large hat, screws, drills, mounting pistols and overalls.

  3. If the house is old, we release the ceiling from the finishing materials in such a way that it is possible to lay the glass wool between the beams.
  4. If necessary, remove the distortions and fill the gap with mounting foam.
  5. Fill all the space between the beams with pieces of glass wool.
  6. If the size does not match, cut it into pieces.
  7. On top of the glass wool, apply a layer of foil insulation. Mounting is done by buttock, so that the foil side is directed into the room. The material additionally has a noise-, hydro- and vapor barrier function.
  8. We seal the seams with foil tape.
  9. For finishing the ceiling we use sheets of gypsum board or other material that we attach using self-tapping screws. Between the heater and the finishing material with the help of the rods we leave a small gap.

This method of insulation provides the breath of the beams from the outside, but requires good ventilation inside the rooms.
