The history of the Russian House of Fashion, Igor Chapurin, began many years ago when he was a young and unknown artist who managed to get into the top ten young designers at a competition in Paris organized by the brand Ninna Ricci. Then in the life of Igor Chapurin came the turning point when Princess Irene Golitsina herself invited him to design clothes for the Italian Fashion House Galitzine, where such world stars as Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn dressed.

Later, Chapurin decided to create his own fashion house, refusing the most tempting offer in his life - to take the place of designer Galitzine on his terms. He did not want to abandon his plan, and soared to the very top of the fashionable Olympus, when in 1998 his collection Chapurin-99 received the Golden Mannequin (the award of the Russian Association of High Fashion), and the famous Harper's Bazaar magazine awarded Chapurin the "Style-98" ". In the same year Chapurin represented the Russian fashion at the European ball in Paris.

Chapurin with his collection conquered Germany and Switzerland. Then, at home, the couturier received the national "Ovation" award and was invited to create costumes for the theatrical performance "Woe from Wit" by Oleg Menshikov.

Igor Chapurin became the first Russian designer who presented his collection at the Paris Fashion Week pret-a-porte 2005. Today the Chapurin brand has taken its strong position in Europe and receives the highest awards and evaluations of fashion experts.
