Is it possible to get married in a leap year?

Throughout the centuries, most Slavs visited churches where they received "spiritual food" in sufficient quantity: people understood what to believe, how to believe, what rituals are laid down by the sacred tradition in those or other cases.

After the revolution, this situation changed. Religion was diligently eradicated from the consciousness of most representatives of society. Believers did not have the opportunity, for example, to get a higher education in a state university (unless, of course, they carefully concealed their religious beliefs). This led to the fact that among believers (where there are now few educated, thinking people), and among the unbelievers, a host of superstitions has been divorced. A holy place is never empty. If that place in the soul that is meant for believing in God is empty, then something else is being set up there.

What? Most often - superstition. The Church and science unanimously condemn superstition. Both are advised to weigh everything carefully before believing and accepting in the heart.

Of a series of such rash beliefs, of course, and the idea that you can not marry in a leap year. Many people are unselfishly devoted to this strange belief.

Why not get married in a leap year?

What is there in him that categorically distinguishes him from any other year? Why is it about a leap year that raises the question of whether it is possible to marry during it.

A leap year hypnotizes a person with his incomprehensibility. How it is: every year 365 days, and then suddenly again - and 366! Miracles, and only!

And what is wonderful here? Everything is simple arithmetic. After all, if time is a real physical quantity, then you can divide it into segments in different ways. For example, it is possible for weeks, and it is possible - for decades, it is possible on quarters, and it is possible for trimesters. Or for semesters. Everything depends on the point of view.

The astronomical meaning of the year is that during this period the Earth makes a complete revolution around the Sun (yes it is clear that everyone knows this from an elementary school, because some believe those who know do not understand what!). But, again, as everybody knows, the harmful earth does a full turn (not otherwise, as luck would have it!) Does not for 365 days, but for 365 days and 6 with something for hours. Thus, for four years, runs a whole extra day. Where to put it? It can not be just a day - no year! That's why they add it to every fourth year, which, because of this, becomes a day longer (a working day! We would add a day off, or even better, a holiday, you see, there would not be any questions!) And is called a leap year. To endure such injustice is difficult, and many people think that a leap year is more difficult and unhappy. From here, it is visible, and legs of a question grow, whether it is possible to play wedding in the leap year.

On the one hand - an obvious superstition, and stupid: after all, in general, a pure coincidence that extra days mechanically have been added to this year, and not to the previous or the next one, this fact can not have any fateful significance. On the other hand, for an insecure person, a "legitimate" opportunity to take longer with a responsible decision. If a person is not sure that he wants to marry, then for him any reason is suitable not to enter into it. On the third hand, many feel some uncertainty when entering into marriage - not because they are not sure if they want weddings , but on the contrary - because they really want and are very afraid, something will suddenly go wrong and the coveted wedding will break! This is where the news pops up, where the questions are: can I get married in a leap year, etc.?
