Anesthetizing injections Ketonal is used for symptomatic therapy of various diseases of the musculoskeletal system (degenerative and inflammatory). They are mainly used to eliminate even the strongest pain syndrome of any origin. Ketonal injection is indicated when:
- Rheumatoid arthritis - when the joints of the extremities are affected (large or small);
- osteoarthrosis;
- psoriatic arthritis;
- gouty arthritis;
- Bechterew's disease - when the spinal mobility is limited.
This drug is used and as an analgesic (mainly in postoperative pain syndrome), even if there is an inflammatory process. In some cases, Ketonal injections are used at home to treat lesions of the peripheral nervous system (if they are accompanied by bouts of pain), tendonitis, severe pain in the joints and muscles, bursitis, radiculitis and severe dental pain.
Method of application of injections Ketonal
Ketonal is used for 1 ampoule three times a day. Typically, the injection is administered intramuscularly. Intravenously this drug is used only in a hospital. In such cases, the drug is administered:
- intermittent way (the contents of ampoules are diluted with a physiological solution and injected for 30-60 minutes);
- continuous (the contents of the ampoules are diluted in a physiological solution or a solution of glucose and injected for 8 hours).
After injections, Ketonal should not drink alcohol and should not drive if there is dizziness or drowsiness. With severe pain, this drug is combined with various narcotic analgesics. With Tramadol it is injected separately, and with Morphine it can be mixed in one container. Contra-indications for use Ketonal
Ketonal injections have contraindications. Such injections are categorically prohibited if the patient has:
