Skirting is a rake of different widths and shapes, which are fastened between the floor and the wall (floor skirting) or between the ceiling and the wall (ceiling skirting). The plinth helps to hide wires, cracks and small irregularities, and also completes the interior of the room. The most popular material for manufacturing is MDF coated with a special film. This type is called plinth of laminated MDF and is designed for the design of rooms with a coating of laminate, parquet or linoleum .

The main disadvantage of a laminate floorboard made of MDF is the brittleness of the material under mechanical influence. In this regard, it is not recommended to install in children's or playrooms.
Types of plinth MDF with lamination
Plinth laminated MDF can be of different shapes: smooth, curly or rectangular. The choice depends on your interior and the purpose of the skirting board . The plinth differs in width and color. The width of the plinth is determined respectively with the ceiling height in the room: the higher the ceiling - the wider the plinth should be purchased.
The choice of the color of the laminated plinth is the most difficult process. As the market offers many options: from the classic white skirting to modern imitations of natural materials and textures. White laminate MDF plinth can be combined with a light floor, white door or white baguette on the ceiling. It looks interesting white skirting with a contrasting dark floor or walls.
Many manufacturers of flooring (parquet, laminate) produce skirting boards in a similar color solution, which greatly simplifies the choice. For example, not so long ago in the market there was a laminate with imitation of textiles and behind it - laminated plinth of MDF in the same color solution.
