The name of the famous American is again heard by everyone. This week, the Hollywood actor visited Italy at a meeting with Pope. The initiator of the visit was Leonardo himself, who wanted to discuss the problems of ecology in the world with Francis. The actor began the conversation in Italian and presented the pontiff the book-album of Hieronymus Bosch, opened it on the page with the picture "The Garden of Earthly Delights" and compared the triptych with the current problems on Earth. Men discussed the climate and global warming, because both are much concerned about this. We remind that earlier the pope issued an important document, in which he calls to appreciate and fight for the beauty and "health" of nature and modernity.
DiCaprio and care for the environment
Let us emphasize that this meeting is not the first time that an actor experiences and discusses the global problems of the planet. Since 1998, Leonardo has a charitable foundation, from where he annually conveys considerable sums for the future of the Earth. DiCaprio's indifference did not go unnoticed: on January 22 at the forum in Switzerland he received the Crystal Award for his contribution to the protection of the environment.
