The time of the war took the lives of a huge number of men and women who fearlessly fought for their homeland. Almost every family lost their father, husband, brother or uncle, and many children were orphaned and were temporarily placed in children's institutions. Despite this, Soviet women and men could stoically overcome all difficulties and gave us a happy present.
Of course, today's children do not fully understand what happened during the war, and why Victory Day is so important for their grandparents. Nevertheless, it is in the power of parents and teachers to make sure that boys and girls honor the memory of their ancestors and never forget about what a great feat was performed by Soviet soldiers and workers of the rear.
That is why, in most schools and kindergartens, much attention today is paid to the patriotic education of students and pupils. In particular, on the eve of the Victory Day, educational institutions hold contests for children's drawings on the relevant topic.
In addition, a child can get a task to draw a thematic picture in art lessons, and very often for this he may need the help of his parents.
