A very large number of attractions can be seen in the capital of Liechtenstein - in the city of Vaduz.

Vaduz Castle

Castle Vaduz is the most popular tourist attraction in Liechtenstein. Built around the 14th century, it is now the official residence of the reigning prince, therefore it is closed to visitors. But on its territory there are very interesting buildings, such as the chapel of St. Anne with the Gothic altar, ancient buildings from the early Middle Ages and the cemetery. They can be seen only at the festival, which takes place on August 15.

At other times you can see the castle outside and see a beautiful view of the city.

Sasso Corbaro Castle

Located on a high hill, it used to be used as a defensive garrison and prison. But because of fatal accidents (lightning strikes), the castle almost did not preserve the internal buildings, but this does not prevent us from holding stylized medieval festivals and festivals here.

There are beautiful collections of weapons, ceramics, coins, works of art from Flemish and Dutch artists of the 17th century and other exhibits of ethnographic significance, among which one can find archaeological finds and artifacts of the Middle Ages.

Vaduz Cathedral

The cathedral stands on the site of the ancient construction and is dedicated to the very revered in Liechtenstein Saint Florin Remussky, who performed a miracle, like Jesus Christ. It is executed in the Neo-Gothic direction of architecture and looks very harmoniously at the forefront of the mountains and low buildings of Vaduz. At the moment the cathedral is the residence of the archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church.

Liechtenstein Museum of Art

In the center of Vaduz there is a black building of a square shape. It was there that in 2000 the Museum of Arts was opened, where in several snow-white halls the collection of modern art objects: paintings, sculptures and installations.

It is impossible to travel along the edge, where the water turned into wine and did not visit the winery. Here, excursions are made to the building itself, and it ends with a tasting of the plant's products. It is located in a very interesting building with its own decorative features, which itself attracts attention.

And besides all this you can still visit other ancient castles (Montebello and Castelgrande), the town hall, the government house and the buildings of spiritual purpose (the Cathedral of Santi Pietro-e-Stefano and the Church of St. Lawrence).
