In any visa center you can apply for a Maltese visa and get a passport with a visa. You can submit a package of documents in person, through an intermediary (mandatory presence of a power of attorney from the passport holder) or a travel agency. If you do not personally file documents, a mandatory condition is the receipt of a receipt for payment of consular and service charges and the original passport. To visit the Visa Center, you do not need to pre-record, the documents are accepted all day until 16.00 all week, except Saturday and Sunday, and you must sign up in advance to visit the embassy. Required documents for a visa to Malta for citizens of Russia and Ukraine

What kind of visa you need for Malta depends on the purpose of its visit, most often a short-term Schengen visa of category C (for tourism) is required. To obtain it you must prepare the following documents:

  1. An entry visa valid for three months after the expiry of this visa and at least two empty pages for the admission of visas.
  2. Photocopies of Schengen visas that were before this (if they existed).
  3. Two color photos in the size 3,5х4,5см on a light background, without corners and curvatures that it was well visible the person.
  4. An embassy visa application form filled out by hand, signed by the same signature, which is in the passport (2 copies).

  7. Air tickets or return tickets (a photocopy attached to the original) or a stamped reservation of these tickets with exact dates.
  8. Medical insurance with validity for the entire period of stay and issued for an amount not less than 30 thousand euros.
  9. If you plan to visit another country other than Malta, provide a detailed route.

For children under 18:

  1. Copy of the passport of the parent who signed the form (first page);
  2. Sponsorship letter from parents with a mandatory indication of the amount that is allocated for the trip (minimum of 50 euros per day).
  3. A photocopy of the birth certificate.
  4. Permission for departure from both parents certified by a notary.
  5. Since 2010, a separate ambassadorial form is being filled for children.
  6. Reference from the place of study of the child (optional).

In case of refusal to obtain a visa to Malta, the embassy informs about it in writing with an explanation of the reasons. Within three working days, you can appeal this decision.
