Fredriksson learned about the terrible disease in the 90's, and in 2002 she underwent surgery to remove the tumor. After that, long years of rehabilitation and constant maintenance of health began. The singer underwent chemotherapy courses, but when they did not give positive dynamics, she had to resort to radiation therapy. However, from the words of Marie, the disease seems to have reminded herself again: she started having memory problems and it became very difficult for her to walk.
On the page in Facebook, the singer wrote a rather touching appeal to her fans: "These 30 years were really amazing! Happiness and joy overwhelm me, when I think and remember the tour, with which I had to ride the world. All these concerts are a part of my life. Now, unfortunately, I can not go on a trip and speak before you. For me, the concerts ended. I thank all the fans who have been with us all these years and have passed this thorny and long journey. "

Marie will continue to write songs
